I’m not sure what lures me to Panyiri, a two-day festival of Greek food, booze and muzak held annually in Musgrave Park, Brisbane. This year the event celebrated its 40th year and I’ve been going pretty regularly for at least 20 of those. The kids and I feast on baklava, honey puffs, lamb and calamari. In years past we’d dance to Zorba the Greek. It’s harder to find a park these days and my once carefree children have grown into self-conscious teenagers. There was no dancing this year. But we still ate a lot of food.
